All programs scheduled to begin during this time have also been cancelled. This includes adult and youth programs. Registrants will be contacted and given a full refund. This includes programs hosted by Canton Parks and Recreation at the Edward “Peel” Coleman Community Center and the Canton Garden Center.
Parks remain open to walk, run, or bike. West Park Skate Park (DIY Skate Park) located at 9th Street SW & Schroyer Avenue SW is also closed by order of Canton Park Police. Violators could face fines for trespassing. Pickleball and tennis courts are available for singles play only. Do not congregate on courts for any reason. Pets are not permitted on any courts. All playgrounds, play structures, and public workout equipment will remain off limits through the duration of the stay-at-home order pending further guidance.
We understand the inconvenience these cancellations may cause. We are continuing to reevaluate programs and facility usage as we receive more information from health officials. We just ask that everyone do their part in keeping everyone safe while outdoors by practicing social distancing and staying at least 6 feet away from other people while enjoying the outdoors.
