Picnic in the Park

Join us Sunday, October 4, from 4–6 p.m. for Picnic in the Park, sponsored by local favorites Kennedy’s BBQ and Taggarts Ice Cream Shop!

Enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon in Stadium Park. Start at the Timken Gatehouse to check in, pick up a map featuring two trail options, and choose how you’d like to enjoy the afternoon.

1. Make it a picnic!
For $7, purchase a boxed meal from Kennedy’s BBQ and Taggarts Ice Cream Shop to enjoy on the Timken Gatehouse patio. Each meal includes your choice of a turkey or ham sandwich, chips, a bottle of water, and a classic Taggarts Bittner.

To guarantee your meal, pre-payment is required through RecDesk. A limited number of additional meals will be available for purchase (Cash Only) at the event.

Pick up your meal at the Timken Gatehouse before or after your trail walk.

2. Hit the trail and explore!
Prefer to just enjoy the outdoors? No problem! Check-in at the Timken Gatehouse, grab your map, choose one of the two trail options, and tour the historic Gatehouse. No meal purchase is necessary.

Come for the walk. Explore the history. Or make an afternoon of it with a picnic!
