Canton Park Shelters Reopening for Permitted Use
Canton Parks and Recreation will be re-opening shelters to be reserved by permits starting Saturday, June 5, 2021. Our reservation portal is now open. Reservations will not be taken over the phone but will be able to be made both online and in our office at the Canton Garden Center (1615 Stadium Park Drive).
Whether registration will be done online or in person, all renters will need to sign up for our online reservation system that was new in 2020. We highly recommend that you sign up for a RecDesk account before coming into the office to reserve a shelter. This is a free account and can be done at cantonparksandrec.recdesk.com/community.
At this time, reservation requests for Garaux Shelter, and the Canton Garden Center must be made in person. Requests for the Community Room at the Edward “Peel” Coleman Center can be made online but must be approved by administration. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the new reservation system (RecDesk).
Anyone with a permit reserving a shelter will always have priority over any other park visitors attempting to use the shelter. Our maintenance team is constantly working to keep our shelters and public restroooms clean, please do your part to clean up any garbage and help keep our parks clean.
**Please note, Crenshaw Shelter #3 is no longer the property of Canton Parks and Recreation and will not be available for reservation.**
